Kangan Institute is seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join an exciting new pilot program being delivered in partnership with Youth Projects. Based at an offsite location in St Albans with some teaching in our Broadmeadows Campus, this unique opportunity offers the chance to work directly with vulnerable young people and adult learners, supporting them to engage in education, build confidence, and develop pathways into further study and employment.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is committed to trauma-informed practice, student-centred learning, and creating safe, inclusive environments where every learner can succeed.
Location: St Albans/Broadmeadows
Role Type: Part-time, ongoing (0.8 FTE)
Remuneration: $84,618 - $110,834 (plus 12%% superannuation) – qualification dependant
About the Program:
This innovative pilot program is being delivered in partnership with Youth Projects, a leading Victorian not-for-profit organisation that supports young people and people experiencing disadvantage through education, employment, health, homelessness, and support services. Youth Projects works alongside individuals who face significant barriers to participation, helping them build confidence, independence, wellbeing and meaningful pathways into education and employment.
The program seeks to engage learners who may have experienced challenges in traditional educational settings and provides a supportive, flexible learning environment that focuses on personal growth, vocational development and positive outcomes.
