Telescope Tyres is looking for an experienced OTR / Earthmover Tyre Technician at our Parkes operation. Hands-on work across mining, quarry and agricultural machinery, backed by a global tyre group and a local crew that's been doing this since 1993.

Job Overview: 
The Tyre Technician OTR Earthmover provides specialized service for off-the-road (OTR) and earthmoving equipment tyres at Telescope Tyres, often in field locations. This role ensures maximum safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency for customers in mining or heavy industries, while leading junior fitters and complying with all safety and operational procedures. 

Key Responsibilities: 

·         Carry out OTR tyre fitting, removal, inspection, repair, and fitting for earthmoving equipment in the field or branches. 

·         Always Represent Telescope Tyres positively, especially in remote sites. 

·         Apply all safety procedures, including site-specific and company requirements for fatigue, drugs, and alcohol. 

·         Ensure tasks align with accreditation, licensing, and equipment fitness standards. 

·         Use deflation/inflation and jacking procedures on every assembly, inspecting for safe continued service. 

·         Maintain and operate tools/equipment safely, communicating with teams for a positive environment. 

·         Balance wheels, select tyres/rims, and handle tube repairs as needed. 

·         Work effectively in teams, loading/unloading cargo, and providing leadership to juniors. 

·         Advise when equipment is service-ready and complete all management-directed tasks. 

·         Identify and communicate sales opportunities onsite via inspections and customer feedback 

Qualifications and Experience: 

·         Certificate II in Tyre Fitting Heavy. 

·         4+ years in OTR / earthmover tyre services, with field experience. 

·         Heavy Rigid License and Forklift License. 

·         Mining industry background (preferable but not essential)
