About the role
Supporter Systems and Data Administrator
Are you passionate about building smarter systems that enable people to do their best work? As our Supporter Systems and Data Administrator, you'll take ownership of the technology that underpins our fundraising and supporter engagement. You'll lead the ongoing development of Salesforce (NPSP), Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related platforms, delivering innovative solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen data quality and enhance the experience of both our supporters and colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with meaningful purpose, helping create lasting impact for communities in need.
About Caritas Australia
We are Compassion in Action. Caritas Australia is the international humanitarian and aid agency of the Australian Catholic Church. We have a vision to end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity for all. We partner with the most vulnerable communities to help them build better outcomes by improving access to sustainable livelihoods, clean water, sanitation and education.
Why work for Caritas Australia?
You will join a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about tackling poverty and injustice. As part of the Caritas Australia team, you will also benefit from:
What does the role involve?
This is far more than a systems administration role. You'll be the technical lead for our supporter technology ecosystem, taking ownership of Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related platforms. You'll design and implement automations, integrations and system enhancements that simplify processes, improve data quality and deliver better experiences for users and supporters alike.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external technology partners, you'll champion best practice, strengthen governance, support campaign delivery and empower colleagues through training and practical solutions. Above all, you'll continually look for opportunities to evolve our systems so they remain reliable, scalable and fit for the future.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
Who are we looking for?
We're seeking an experienced systems professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex problems and building technology that makes a genuine difference. You'll have considerable experience administering and enhancing Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform, along with the broader supporter systems that connect to it, and a strong understanding of automation, integrations and data governance. You're someone who naturally looks for better ways of working, can translate business needs into practical technical solutions and enjoys partnering with people across an organisation. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, marketing automation, and the nonprofit sector will be highly regarded, but just as important is your curiosity, initiative and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
You will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:
