Medical Receptionist – Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time

Medika Health Clinic is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team in a permanent full-time/part-time position.

We are looking for more than someone who can answer phones and manage an appointment book. We want someone who is friendly, capable and quietly confident – someone who brings calm to a busy environment, communicates well and takes genuine pride in helping patients and colleagues.

About the role

As one of the first people our patients meet, you will play an important part in their experience of our clinic.

Your role will include:

• Welcoming patients and managing reception

• Answering telephone and patient enquiries

• Managing appointments and recalls

• Working confidently with Best Practice medical software

• Medicare, billing and general practice administration

• Communicating with doctors, nurses and other members of the team

• Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality

• Helping the wider clinic run smoothly

This is a permanent full time or part-time position within an established general practice.

About you

Previous medical reception experience and experience using Best Practice are important.

You don't need to know everything from day one. We are happy to help the right person develop further if they have a good foundation, the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
