Supervisor – Extrusion / Compounding

 The Role

We’re looking for a strong, capable, and motivated Day Shift Supervisor to take full ownership of a shift in our modern production facility in Dandenong.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a solid extrusion and plastics background.

This is a hands-on leadership role — ideal for someone who thrives on challenge, leads by example, and knows how to bring out the best in a team when it counts.

Responsibilities Include:

·           Leading the shift from the front — setting the pace, tone, and expectations

·           Coordinating people, machines, and materials to meet daily production targets

·         Running shift meetings and maintaining clear communication across teams

·         Supporting and developing operators — fostering a high-performance culture

·         Promoting a positive, can-do atmosphere, even under pressure

·         Monitoring safety compliance and addressing risks proactively

·         Troubleshooting problems in real time and keeping things moving

·         Reporting on shift outcomes, incidents, and changeovers

The Individual:

·         Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

·         A strong, visible leader with a hands-on approach — not just a delegator

·         Ability to stay calm and effective in high-pressure, fast-moving conditions

·         Confident communicator who can run meetings and provide clear direction

·         Excellent time management and multitasking skills

·         A safety-first mindset and the confidence to enforce WHS standards

·         Someone who can motivate and grow their team while maintaining standards

·         Solid Plastics or extrusion experience/background
