Labourer

Modern Party Hire is a busy event and party hire company supplying furniture, equipment and styling items for weddings, corporate functions, parties and events across Adelaide.

This is a hands-on-role involving a variety of warehouse, event preparation, loading/unloading and delivery duties.

We are looking for a reliable, energetic and hardworking Labourer to join our warehouse and delivery team.

The successful applicant will enjoy physical work, be comfortable working as part of a team and take pride in ensuring our equipment is prepared and presented to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include

• Picking, packing and preparing party hire equipment for events

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently

• Delivering and collecting furniture and event equipment from venues and customers

• Assisting with bump-in and bump-out of events

• Moving and handling tables, chairs, bars, marquees and other event equipment

• Cleaning, checking and returning equipment to the warehouse

• General warehouse duties, including organising and maintaining stock

• Assisting the team with day-to-day operations

• Following workplace health and safety procedures

• Providing friendly and professional service to customers and venues.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Well presented and professional when dealing with customers

• A good team player who is also able to work independently

• Flexible with hours, including early mornings, late afternoons and occasional weekends

• Able to follow instructions and pay attention to details

• Previous warehouse, labouring, removalist, delivery or event industry experience is advantageous but not essential.

A current drivers licence is preferred - truck licence highly regarded
