Digital Designer

Create impactful, on-brand digital & print assets that communicate key marketing messages and drive action for campaign success.

The role 

Conceptualise and design engaging, on-brand digital & print assets that effectively communicate key marketing messages and inspire action in line with campaign objectives for the Budget Direct brand. 

* This position is full-time, fixed-term (9 months).

Position Accountabilities 

• Bring the Budget Direct brand to life and drive campaign effectiveness across a variety of digital channels and formats.
• Design and manage device optimised digital assets for key marketing channels including responsive websites, interactive content marketing campaigns, promotional landing pages, social media, and banner ads.
• Generate engaging video assets including, but not limited to, overlays, supers, and motion graphics that enhance existing assets.
• Experience and ability to edit and cut pre-existing video creative into required formats, such as YouTube bumper ads, outdoor, online display ads, and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
• Collaborate with team members to understand the creative brief and work closely with the other designers and developers to bring customers on the journey via our engaging campaigns.
• Work with existing web and design assets to ensure a high degree of output and reusability while ensuring design elements work to campaign objectives.
• Proficient in website and landing page design and ability to engage key stakeholders to lock in scope and direction. 
• Create both static & motion HTML5 banners that will be used to amplify our marketing campaigns.
• Adhere to brand style guide and work with the team to keep our living style guide up to date.
• Contribute to content marketing brainstorming sessions to offer solutions for how to solve marketing challenges through design and video. 
• Keep up to date with the latest design, content marketing and UX trends and research.

What experience you’ll bring

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a digital design and video editing role.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
• A portfolio or examples of previous work.
• Highly proficient in core design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Figma.
• Ability to handle and prioritise multiple design tasks at once and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Experience working in Google Web Designer
• Competent in executing UI and UX best practices across a variety of platforms and devices. 
• Experience in curating, editing, and exporting video assets for major Australian digital media 
  channels such as JCDecaux, Val Morgan and Westfield.
• Ability to manage digital projects from design to development with knowledge of developer handover applications.
• Skills in motion graphics and animation
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience working in an Agile team environment

Location: Toowong
