Purchasing & Supply Planning Officer

Lane’s BBQ is a rapidly growing Australian food manufacturing business known for its bold flavours and strong brand presence. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a highly organised and analytical Purchasing & Supply Planning Officer to take ownership of our inventory, purchasing and supply planning functions.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring we have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time. Working closely with Operations, Sales and Marketing, you will drive demand planning, manage supplier relationships and ensure smooth purchasing processes.

Demand Forecasting & Supply Planning

·       Develop and maintain demand forecasts across finished goods, ingredients and packaging

·       Analyse sales data, trends and seasonal activity

·       Plan inventory for key trading periods such as Black Friday and Christmas

·       Identify supply risks and implement proactive solutions

Procurement & Purchasing

·       Raise and manage purchase orders

·       Ensure ordering aligns with production and customer demand

·       Track orders and follow up suppliers

·       Maintain communication across teams

Supplier Management

·       Build and maintain supplier relationships

·       Source new suppliers to improve cost and quality

·       Resolve supplier issues

·       Monitor supplier performance

Inventory Management

·       Monitor stock levels and reorder points

·       Prevent stockouts while minimising excess

·       Improve stock turnover

·       Support process improvements

Systems & Reporting

·       Maintain ERP records (e.g. Unleashed)

·       Report on purchasing and supplier performance

·       Monitor KPIs

·       Support continuous improvement
