Diesel Fitter

CAMM Quarries is a locally owned and operated business based in Townsville, North Queensland. As part of the Doyle Group, we form part of an integrated group of companies delivering quarry materials, ready-mix concrete, contract crushing, bulk haulage, civil construction and project development across the region.

Due to continued growth in our operations, we are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team in Townsville.

The Role

As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment across quarry and crushing operations. Working within a supportive team environment, you will ensure machinery is maintained to a high standard to support safe and efficient operations.

This role offers varied work across earthmoving machinery, crushing equipment and heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

· Servicing, repairs and diagnostics on earthmoving equipment, crushing plant and heavy vehicles

· Troubleshooting and identifying faults to ensure effective repairs

· Maintaining equipment to ensure reliability and operational efficiency

· Carrying out preventative maintenance across the fleet

· Working safely and following company policies and procedures

· Completing work to a high standard with attention to detail

· Supporting apprentices and other workshop team members where required

About You

· Relevant Heavy Diesel Fitter trade qualification

· Experience working with earthmoving machinery and crushing equipment

· MR driver’s licence and White Card (desirable)

· Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Commitment to workplace health and safety

· Strong time management and problem-solving abilities

· A positive attitude and strong work ethic
