An outstanding opportunity to join a large, national Australian organisation in a senior finance leadership role, responsible for leading and strengthening finance operations across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Finance Operations will lead the organisation’s core finance operations function, ensuring strong financial control, operational excellence, and the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. Leading a substantial team across finance transactions, payroll, invoicing and shared finance services, you will drive consistency, efficiency and governance across a complex organisation with multiple operating models.
A key focus of the role will be the ongoing optimisation of systems, processes and ways of working. Leveraging technology, automation and continuous improvement, you will enhance service delivery, strengthen controls, improve efficiency and support a scalable, future-ready finance function.
We are seeking an experienced finance operations leader with a proven track record leading large, complex finance functions. You will bring deep expertise across financial transactions, payroll and invoicing, combined with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement. Commercially minded and proactive, you are known for identifying opportunities to improve performance, challenging established practices and implementing practical solutions that create value.
An engaging and collaborative leader, you build credibility quickly, develop high-performing teams and lead change effectively. You combine strong operational discipline with a practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
