Social Worker - Mental Health

Dudley Private Hospital is a 62 bed facility that provides a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, rehabilitation and psychiatric services. The hospital has 4 Operating Theatres including a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. Apart from general medical and surgical beds there are 27 licensed rehabilitation beds, a cardiac care unit and a 15 bed mental health unit, known as the Ramsay Clinic Orange. The Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care.

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team, primarily supporting patients within our mental health clinic.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver trauma-informed care through individual therapy, group facilitation, case management, and family support. You will also contribute to discharge planning and help patients navigate psychosocial challenges as part of a holistic treatment approach.

Our clinic provides specialised inpatient and day programs for anxiety, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, and a range of generalised mental health conditions. We offer advanced neurostimulation services alongside evidence-based psychological therapies.

About You

You are a compassionate and skilled clinician with experience in mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions, case management and recovery-oriented care, and supporting patients and families through complex psychosocial challenges such as financial stress or housing insecurity.

Your ability to engage collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and your commitment to patient recovery will make you an invaluable part of our service.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor of Social Work.
• Eligible for Membership with relevant professional association (AASW). 
• Clinical experience in mental health and/or hospital setting.
• Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical skills and experience in providing mental health assessment and evidence-based treatments for mental health (individual and/or group facilitation).
• Demonstrated practical skills in case management, liaising with stakeholders, discharge planning and community referral.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and customers.
• Accurate and timely completion of administration and documentation requirements.

Desirable Criteria:

• Group facilitation skills.
• Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
• Post-graduate qualification.
