Tip Top Carrara is currently seeking applications for a part time Hygiene Operator to join the team. Reporting to the Hygiene Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of production areas, machinery and equipment for our bakery. Your initiative to lead sanitation continuous improvement initiatives and dedication to food safety will be crucial for this role.

Roster: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (6am to 2pm)

Purpose of the Role

• Clean and sanitise production floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces within the food manufacturing area
• Perform deep cleaning on production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, and packaging lines.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in alignment with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Complete routine inspections to ensure compliance with workplace cleanliness standards.
• Support other departments in ensuring hygiene standards are upheld across the facility

Profile description:

• Experience cleaning in a food manufacturing site (FMCG) - required 1 year experience.
• Chemical handling exposure/knowledge.
• Physically fit, some heavy lifting at times.
• Excellent time management.
• Work cohesively in a team but also able to work alone.
• Attention to detail.
