About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Training Advisor to join our Goonyella team. As an integral member of the Health, Safety & Training team you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day function of the training team, working with supervisors to develop and deliver training plans, delivering training programs and ensuring compliance with the Training Needs Analysis.

Key Responsibilities Include

Assist employees and site personnel with applicable queriesCoordinating onboarding for new startersCoordinating training and assessment planning and activitiesReviewing and coordinating compliance with the Training Needs AnalysisMaintain production and maintenance training matrixesDeveloping and delivering training programsConducting training and assessment as requiredAssisting with the development of training programs

About You

Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentG 1,8,9 Certificate (formally S 1,2,3)G2 CertificateHave a good understanding of the Queensland coal mining legislation, regulation and recognised standardsExperienced using Learning Management SystemsProficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Excel, Word & PowerPointA good team player attitude with a passion for problem solving and helping othersStrong time management and attention to detail skills

Goonyella

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA’s Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.

BUMA Australia provides labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
