Our client is a specialist construction estimating firm supporting subcontractors, builders and quantity surveyors across Australia. They provide accurate, independent cost insights that reduce risk and enable smarter project decisions, backed by a practical, trade-aligned understanding of how projects are truly built. With fast turnarounds and structured documentation, they're growing rapidly and building out a strong, experienced estimating team.

The primary purpose of this position is to prepare accurate, detailed estimates and tender submissions across a range of commercial construction projects, while stepping into a more senior, mentoring capacity within the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring tenders are prepared and submitted accurately and on time
• Supporting and mentoring junior estimators as they develop their skills
• Analysing bid documents to identify risks and opportunities for client reviews
• Preparing detailed trade breakups, bills of quantities and full tender submissions
• Sourcing, negotiating and securing competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Reviewing drawings and specifications to confirm documentation and define scope

The successful candidate will have:

• Leadership or mentoring experience
• Experience working for a head contractor
• A desire to progress into a Senior Estimator role
• 3+ years' commercial construction estimating experience
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Strong proficiency with estimating software such as BuildSoft, CostX or Bluebeam
