About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Accommodation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a 220-room worker accommodation camp on our farm in Emerald, Queensland. You’ll be the key contact for accommodation matters, managing check-ins and check-outs, room inspections, cleaning, maintenance, stock and contractors, while ensuring the camp remains safe, clean, compliant and running smoothly. Working closely with residents, supervisors, operational teams and management, you’ll be a practical problem-solver who takes ownership and keeps things moving.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accommodation operations, including check-ins, check-outs, room allocations, inductions, occupancy tracking and resident enquiries.

• Conduct regular room and facility inspections, ensuring cleanliness, safety, compliance and presentation standards are consistently maintained.

• Coordinate maintenance and repairs across rooms and shared facilities, including contractors, follow-up and timely resolution of issues.

• Oversee cleaning, linen and accommodation supplies, maintaining appropriate schedules, stock levels and hygiene standards.

• Liaise with residents, labour hire supervisors, contractors, service providers and management to resolve issues and keep accommodation operations running smoothly.

• Maintain compliance with WHS, hygiene, fire safety and site requirements, including inspections, incident reporting and emergency procedures.

• Manage accommodation administration, including contracts, invoicing, occupancy records, maintenance logs, inspections, stock control and reporting.

• Identify operational improvements and proactively address risks, recurring issues and opportunities to improve the accommodation experience.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in managing accommodation, facilities, camps or property preferred

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and respond to issues efficiently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Competent computer and record-keeping skills

• Valid and current Australian driver's licence
