About the role

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Broker to manage a dedicated Mining portfolio while collaborating with Account Managers across a range of complex accounts.

In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor to your clients, delivering tailored risk solutions and negotiating effectively within the market to achieve strong outcomes.

A Day in the Life

• Manage and develop relationships with Mining clients
• Ownership of a client portfolio (renewals & support) with the Account Manager
• Assess risk and design tailored insurance solutions
• Negotiate with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes
• Build strong partnerships with underwriters
• Provide input on portfolio budgets and business plans and assist the team in tracking its progress towards goals
• Support new business growth through pipeline development

Skills and experience

• At least 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the Mining sector but not essential
• Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification
• Strong account management with attention to detail
• Clear, professional, and confident with stakeholders
• Practical & service-first approach to getting deals done
• Proactive, helpful, and driven to hit team goals
• Previous experience in a similar insurance or broking role is highly regarded
