Key Information 

This is a great opportunity to join our team in Sydney and gain real work exposure in the Food Safety and Quality Assurance of food & beverage ingredients and flavours, Probiotics, Animal and Pet Nutrition ingredients, as well as our range of Veterinary products.  This is a fix term contract for 6 months, initially on a 3 day basis.  Flexibility around the three days will be provided to the right candidate. If you are currently studying towards a Certificate or Degree in Food technology, Science or similar field, this could be the ideal position for you. We are looking for someone who is energetic, has a passion for Food and QA, who is keen to learn about the B2B world of ingredients and looking to further their knowledge that will assist them in pursuing their chosen career 

Key ingredients of the job; 

• Review Certificates of Analysis for accuracy 

• Preparation of samples for flavour tasting and generate certificates of analysis 

• Specification, SDS, kosher & halal certificate files maintenance 

• Shelf life extension requests 

• Approved suppliers file maintenance 

• Perform other related duties and special assignments as required. 

Key ingredients you bring to the job; 

You are a team player, a learning mindset, energetic, motivated and solution focused.  You will also bring the following to the position but not limited to;    

• Recently graduated or studying towards a Certificate or Degree in Food technology, Science or similar field (desirable) 

• Understanding of Food Safety and QA ideally in an B2B Ingredients setting in food & beverage, Probiotics or Animal Nutrition 

• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems; 

• Ability to focus priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines with minimal supervision 

• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal 

• Ability to work in a team environment 

• A strong focus on quality and excellent attention to detail  

• Organised, methodical and process driven, with attention to detail and time management skills 

• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication at all structural levels 

• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
