Casual Academic and Course Coordinator

Stockdale Higher Education Institute invite Expressions of Interest from highly qualified and motivated academics to join our growing institution based in Melbourne with delivery commencing September 2026.

We are seeking experienced professionals to establish a talent pool for Casual Academic and Course Coordinator appointments across our Information Technology programs. Opportunities are available in teaching, curriculum development, academic leadership and course coordination as we continue to expand our undergraduate and postgraduate offerings.

We welcome applications from academics with expertise to teach within the disciplines of Information Technology and Project Management with specialised interest in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cyber Security and Emerging Technologies.

Opportunities Available

Successful applicants may be considered for one or more of the following roles:

Casual Teaching Academic

• Deliver engaging face-to-face, blended or online teaching and learning experiences.

• Facilitate tutorials, workshops and student learning activities.

• Assess student work and provide timely, high-quality feedback.

• Participate in moderation, academic quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.

• Foster student engagement, academic integrity and learner success.

Course Coordinator

• Coordinate units and support academic quality across teaching teams.

• Provide academic leadership and mentoring to teaching staff.

• Oversee assessment quality, moderation and student outcomes.

• Contribute to curriculum review and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• A postgraduate qualification (Master's or PhD) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Experience teaching within an Australian higher education provider.

• Demonstrated understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices.

• Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience in curriculum development and/or course coordination is highly regarded.

• The ability to work collaboratively within a quality focused academic environment.

• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
