Cafe All Rounder

About the role

Coffee Brew St. Kilda is seeking a Cafe All Rounder to join our team in Melbourne VIC 3004. As a Cafe All Rounder, you will be the backbone of our customer service experience, working both front-of-house and back-of-house to ensure our guests receive exceptional service and quality beverages. This role is integral to maintaining the welcoming atmosphere and operational efficiency that our customers have come to expect.

Key responsibilities

• Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments using our point-of-sale systems

• Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages with consistency and care

• Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, attentive service throughout their visit

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the cafe, including tables, counters and service areas

• Assisting with food preparation and plating where required

• Toasting sandwiches

• Preparing sandwiches and food preps

• Managing the cafe during peak and quiet periods whilst maintaining service quality

• Restocking supplies, managing inventory and ensuring the cafe is well-organized

• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment

• Following all health and safety procedures and cafe policies

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in hospitality, cafe or customer service environments is highly desirable

• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional experiences

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy periods

• Knowledge of coffee preparation and an interest in specialty beverages

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

• Flexibility and reliability, with availability to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop in the role
