Payroll Officer

Peter Warren Automotive Holdings is one of Australia's largest multi-franchise automotive dealer groups, with dealerships spread across Southwest Sydney, Sydney's North Shore, Regional and Northern NSW, Southeast Queensland and Victoria. We're looking for an experienced payroll professional to join our People, Culture and Safety team at Warwick Farm on a full-time fixed-term contract.

About the role

You'll be part of the team responsible for payroll across a workforce of over 2,000 employees, running both weekly and monthly pay cycles. It's a busy, varied role – you won't be doing the same thing every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing end-to-end payroll across weekly and monthly cycles using Micropay
• Interpreting multiple modern awards accurately
• Working with Tanda for time and attendance data
• Posting payroll journals to the general ledger and processing payroll tax and superannuation
• Handling payroll queries and resolving discrepancies across multiple sites
• Maintaining employee records with the accuracy and confidentiality payroll demands

About You

You've worked in a complex, high-volume payroll environment before and you know what it takes to get pay runs out accurately and on time. You'll bring:

• Solid end-to-end payroll experience, ideally in a high-volume or multi-site business
• Confidence interpreting modern awards, including under time pressure
• Experience with Micropay highly regarded; familiarity with Tanda or similar time and attendance systems is a plus
• Strong Excel skills and a reconciliation mindset
• Good attention to detail and a solid understanding of confidentiality requirements
