Purchasing Cooridnator

We are seeking a full-time Purchasing Coordinator as part of our Support Office Team. This role is based on-site at our Distribution Centre in Dandenong and reports to the DC Inventory & Product Category Manager.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate central purchasing of pine across the Bowens network with the support of the DC Inventory & Product Category Manager

• Monitor and maintain stock levels at the Distribution Centre in line with Company sales forecasts/demand.

• Support and assist import program to maintain optimum inventory requirements

• Analyse inventory performance and provide recommendations

• Assist in the management and administration of supplier agreements

• Assist researching and conducting regular competitor price comparison analysis by range.

• Prepare and maintain regular reporting, including end-of-month reporting and analysis

• Receipt Goods into the Distribution Centre

About you:

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control.

• Strong Excel skills and a highly analytical approach to problem-solving.

• Timber or industry experience is advantageous but not essential

• Strong time management, organisational skills and high attention to detail.

• Good communication and effective negotiation skills
