Master <45m (NC)

The Rottnest Barge Service delivers supplies to Rottnest Island by two 30 metre landing craft. Our vision is to provide great service to our customers, efficiently and with high quality.

We aim to grow through the recruitment and training of individuals who care about our organisation and our customers.  We do this through our training program which encourages employees to develop their skills in the marine industry.

 A successful candidate will have a professional yet friendly style and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team. You are highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a strong technical background.

We are seeking a Master <45m (NC) to operate our daily barge service to Rottnest. This role requires:

• Availability Afternoons, Evenings and Weekends

• Solid mechanical and vessel knowledge

• A willingness to assist the crew in loading/unloading and delivering freight on the island

• Strong commitment to vessel and crew safety at all times

• Excellent customer service

• Strong problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills with a solutions focused approach

• MEDII qualification
