Great opportunity to join a growing fit-out and refurbishment contractor with an excellent culture and a diverse project pipeline. Projects range from $100k to $18m+ across commercial, leisure, hospitality, hotel and retail sectors.
A market-leading team with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing business.
Specialising in commercial fit-out and refurbishment, the company delivers high-quality projects for a strong client base across commercial, hospitality, industrial and retail sectors. With a portfolio spanning both small and large-scale works, you will take ownership of projects on site and be responsible for the day-to-day management of all site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standard of quality.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Full on-site management of fit-out and refurbishment projects from set-up through to handoverCoordination and management of subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget, and specificationImplement and maintain site safety standards including WHS compliance, site inductions, toolbox talks, and SWMS reviewsManage and maintain quality assurance processes including ITPs, hold points, and defect managementDevelop and manage short-term programmes, weekly lookaheads, and daily site prioritiesCoordinate material deliveries, logistics, and site access in live and operational environmentsChair site meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and client representativesEnsure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant Australian StandardsProvide regular progress reporting to the Project Manager and escalate risks or delays as requiredManage project handover including practical completion documentation, defect rectification, and close-out
Qualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building, or similar (or trade background with relevant site management experience)Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Manager role within the fit-out and refurbishment sectorConstruction Safety Induction (White Card)Current First Aid CertificateStrong understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practicesProven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate trades in live environmentsExperience reading and interpreting architectural and services drawingsProficiency with project management software (Procore, Aconex, or similar) is preferredStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
