PART-TIME ROLE WITH OPPORTUNITY TO GROW INTO FULL-TIMEPasduchas is growing, and so is our design room. We’re looking for a talented and driven creative to work closely with our Designer across every stage of the collection, from initial concepts, print and fabric development through to the finished garment.This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves fashion and wants to be immersed in the design process. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute creatively, learn across all areas of the design room, and play a meaningful role in the continued growth and evolution of the Pasduchas brand.THE OPPORTUNITYA seat in the room where the collection is born.
This is more than an assistant role. It’s an opportunity to work closely across the full design process of a contemporary Australian label, from concept, colour and print development through to production planning and the final lookbook.As part of a small, fast-moving team, you’ll be hands-on across every stage of the collection and gain a strong understanding of how the brand comes together from season to season.We’re looking for someone who wants to contribute, not simply assist. Someone with initiative, a strong creative eye and the ambition to grow with the brand as Pasduchas continues to evolve and expand.
THE ROLEDesign Focused. Ready to Adapt.You will work closely with the head Designer across range development and creation. Researching key trends, identifying opportunities and helping shape each collection while maintaining the timeless, considered aesthetic that defines Pasduchas.You’ll contribute to colour palettes, print direction and print design from concept through to completion, with a strong awareness of the market and what is resonating with the customer. This includes recognising opportunities for newness, understanding what is selling, and identifying styles that may warrant a repeat, refresh or further development.As a small and collaborative team, the role will naturally extend beyond a fixed job description at times. We’re looking for someone adaptable and willing to contribute wherever needed as the brand continues to grow.
DESIGN & PRINTAssist the Designer with range concepts, ideas and development each season.Research and identify key trends, while ensuring each collection remains true to the timeless Pasduchas aesthetic.Develop colour palettes and print directions that feel distinctly Pasduchas.Create original prints from concept through to final artwork. Strong Photoshop skills are essential.Prepare prints in repeat and ensure artwork is production ready.Review and develop existing garment shapes, while researching new silhouettes with strong commercial potential.Keep a close eye on the market, identifying what is selling, where opportunities lie and which styles should be repeated, refreshed or developed further.
DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTIONCreate clear and detailed style sheets for manufacturers and pattern makers.Liaise with the pattern maker on fit, detailing and style notes.Build and maintain the collection WIP, keeping samples and timelines on track.Support the transition of styles into production, including fittings and reviewing collated orders.Assist with placing online orders and preparing the production planner.Liaise with garment manufacturers throughout the production process as required.
CAMPAIGN & WHOLESALEAssist with the planning and coordination of e-commerce and campaign shoots.Prepare lookbooks and line sheets once each collection has been photographed, ready for wholesale.Support other areas of the business as needed throughout the season.
THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FORHighly creative, with a genuine love of design, event wear and creating beautiful garments for the modern woman.Confident in Photoshop, with the ability to take a print from initial concept through to a finished repeat.Highly organised, with the ability to set realistic timelines, manage priorities and follow tasks through properly.Proactive and self-motivated, with the confidence to take ownership and work independently when needed.Adaptable, hands-on and comfortable working across different areas within a small team.Excited by growth and motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the next stage of the Pasduchas brand.
ROLE STRUCTURECommencing September.Hours and structure will be discussed with the right candidate, with genuine opportunity for the role to grow alongside the brand.This is a Sydney studio-based position within a small, close-knit team.Having your own laptop is a bonus and allows for some flexibility to work from home when needed.
