Job description:

· Part Time Opportunity (0.8FTE 4 Days per week or split across 5 days)

· Randwick, NSW

· Fixed Term Contract until August, 2028

· Hybrid working environment (2 days per week in the office)

Base Salary of $100,300 to 111,200 Base per annum plus 12% superannuation and access to Smart Salary Packaging benefits.

The Opportunity:

Want to play a key role in improving health outcomes across the Pacific and Southeast Asia?

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Project Officer to support the delivery of RESist-NCD, a major Australian Government-funded initiative working alongside governments in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia to strengthen the prevention and management of diabetes and hypertension.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a multi-country program that harnesses international partnerships and cross-country learning in strengthening primary health care systems to address some of the region's most significant health challenges.

This role sits within our Guunu-maana (Heal) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Program. The team leads ethical, community-centred research and advocacy to improve health outcomes for First Nations peoples and plays a critical role in embedding gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), community engagement and Indigenous knowledges within the RESist-NCD program.

Our successful candidate will be a trusted partner to the RESist-NCD team, helping ensure program milestones, partnerships, reporting requirements and communication activities are effectively delivered across the initiative.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact global health program working with leading partners across Australia and internationally. You will join a collaborative and purpose-driven team where your work will directly support programs that centre communities in improving health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

· Coordinate program administration, including project management systems, milestone tracking tools and support for contract management and operational activities.

· Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and program documentation for funders and stakeholders.

• Monitor budgets and expenditure and support financial reporting and acquittal requirements.

· Coordinate governance activities, including committee administration and the development of terms of reference.

• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder forums, including logistics, documentation and follow-up actions.
• Lead program communications and knowledge-sharing initiatives, including website content, newsletters, social media and impact stories.

· Build and maintain effective relationships with partners, stakeholders and colleagues across Australia, the Pacific and Southeast Asia.

· Support inclusive program delivery through activities that promote gender equality, disability inclusion and social inclusion.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

• Tertiary qualification in public health, international development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering projects, ideally within public health, research, international development, government, or not-for-profit settings.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and building effective collaborative relationships.
• Strong organisational, time management and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and preparing materials for diverse audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience monitoring budgets, maintaining project databases and supporting reporting processes.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality and proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Adaptability and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

The following skills and experience will be considered advantageous:-

• Knowledge of diabetes, hypertension, or other non-communicable disease prevention and management.
• Experience working on government, donor-funded or international development programs.
• Understanding of governance, ethics and compliance requirements in project environments.
• Understanding of gender equality, disability and social inclusion principles within health or development programs.
• Experience using Canva or other design platforms.
