About the role
Wellness Australia Services is looking for an experienced team member who want to make a positive change!

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity? Wellness Australia Services is seeking a compassionate individual with experience in complex mental health and intellectual disabilities and a passion for improving clients' lives to join our established team in Kandanga.
About the Role:
As a support worker, you will play a crucial role within a dedicated team in providing high-quality care and supports to a wonderful lady with complexities with her disability and mental health. Your responsibilities will include:
Be a team player contributing to a multi-disciplinary team
Providing support under the guidance of the Positive Behaviour Practitioner.
Assist with personal care and hygiene.
Implementing and adhering to NDIS legislation and guidelines.
Utilising demonstrated experience in restrictive practices while respecting and upholding human rights.
Offering compassionate care tailored to the individual’s needs.
Promoting their independence and quality of life.
Set roster for this client available but additional hours and opportunities across our clients and sites for the right applicant.
Training and professional development opportunities available
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, particularly with complex mental health and intellectual disabilities or working within the Child Safety or Aged Care sectors.
Demonstrated experience with restrictive practices.
Strong understanding of human rights and their application in support settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications and certifications in support work or a related field highly regarded
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
