Procurement Officer

• Permanent full-time role based in Mount Morgan, QLD
• Develop procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships
• Monday to Friday roster with home every night

You will play a key role in supporting procurement activities for a mining operation entering an exciting phase of renewal and growth. Based in Mount Morgan, Queensland, you will manage purchasing processes, develop procurement strategies, and support efficient supply chain operations that contribute to the ongoing success of the operation.

Working Monday to Friday, with standard hours generally from 7:00am to 4:00pm and a shorter fifth day, you will enjoy a lifestyle-friendly roster that allows you to be home every night. You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure procurement activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals

• Conduct market research and assess supplier capabilities and offerings

• Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to achieve value outcomes

• Manage supplier relationships and monitor contractual performance

• Collaborate with teams to forecast purchasing and inventory requirements

• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation

• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance

• Operate within delegated authority requirements and procurement processes

• Support a culture built on safety, respect, responsibility, and innovation

About you

• Proven background in procurement or supply chain management

• Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies

• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills

• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capability

• Ability to analyse data and make informed procurement decisions

• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

• Experience using procurement systems such as PRONTO and Microsoft Office Suite

• Relevant qualifications in business, supply chain, or a related discipline
