Through our U.S. subsidiary, Flash Metals USA Inc., we are progressing the development of our flagship facility in Texas while expanding commercial opportunities and proprietary technologies with global potential. As we transition from development into operational execution, we are seeking a highly capable Manager of Strategy and Operations to play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making, operational performance and future growth.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a unique opportunity to join a growing international business at a significant stage of its evolution.
About the RoleAs Manager of Strategy and Operations, you will support the COO in project delivery across Australia and the United States. You will provide high-quality financial and operational analysis, develop business intelligence tools, and deliver insights that support project performance, capital allocation and strategic growth initiatives.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded operator who enjoys combining financial modelling, business process improvement and data analytics to solve complex business challenges.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain integrated three-statement financial models for project and group performance tracking
Conduct scenario, sensitivity and ROI analysis to support strategic and investment decisions
Analyse operational performance metrics including throughput, yield and cost drivers
Partner with stakeholders across operations, finance and project delivery teams to identify business challenges and opportunities
Map and analyse business processes to improve efficiency and performance
Support the design and implementation of analytical solutions, reporting frameworks and automation initiatives
Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting frameworks
Integrate data across ERP, financial and project management systems
Develop KPI reporting for production, project delivery, costs and operational performance
Support executive and Board reporting with meaningful insights and analysis
Conduct market research, competitor analysis and industry benchmarking
Support business cases, feasibility studies and strategic planning initiatives
Assist with grant applications, project funding submissions and commercial evaluations
Support due diligence activities and partnership assessments
You are an analytical problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment. You can confidently work across financial, operational and technical functions while turning data into actionable business insights. The successful applicant will be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to make sound decisions independently and effectively lead, motivate, and manage others in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Experience & SkillsTertiary qualifications in Economics, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline
8-10 years experience in management consulting, corporate finance, or strategy roles.
Advanced financial modelling skills, including integrated three-statement modelling and scenario analysis
Demonstrated experience analysing and improving business processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Exposure to capital project evaluation or project finance
Experience in digital transformation, automation and data-driven business improvement initiatives
Perth-based position with occasional travel to Texas
Flexible working hours are required to collaborate across international time zones
