Are you passionate about automobiles and skilled in diagnosing and repairing vehicles? Mulgrave Motors, a reputable car dealership in Cairns, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide accurate assessments of necessary repairs.

• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship standards.

• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.

• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.

• Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in automotive technology.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic, preferably in a similar automotive service environment.

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles.

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.

• Ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively to identify issues.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Solid understanding of safety procedures and regulations.

• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.

• Ability to supervise apprentices.

• Trade qualification or relevant certification in automotive mechanics.

• Manual drivers licence.

• Right to work in Australia.
