GIS Analyst

We are currently looking for an experienced GIS Analyst to provide the spatial intelligence that supports the development, design, construction and operation of renewable energy projects across Australia.

This role will work on a diverse portfolio of wind, solar and battery energy storage projects, delivering geospatial solutions that help teams make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description

Deliver spatial analysis, mapping and site suitability assessments for renewable energy projectsIdentify project opportunities, constraints and risks using a wide range of spatial datasetsDevelop and maintain project geodatabases and spatial information systemsCreate high-quality maps, reports and visualisations for technical and non-technical stakeholders,Develop and support WebGIS applications, dashboards and mobile GIS solutionsManage spatial data governance, QA/QC and metadata standardsSupport project design, infrastructure layout development and construction planningBuild automated workflows using technologies such as FME, Python and ArcPyCollaborate with development, engineering, environment, planning and project delivery teams

Required Skills And Competencies

Degree qualification in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geomatics or related disciplineMinimum 5 years' experience in a GIS or geospatial roleAdvanced proficiency in ArcGIS ProExperience with ArcGIS Online, including web maps, dashboards, applications and mobile GIS workflowsExperience with FME or similar ETL/data integration toolsStrong spatial analysis, data management and QA/QC skillsExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes within deadlines

Highly Regarded Experience

Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, engineering, utilities or environmental sectorsKnowledge of planning, environmental, cadastral and land tenure datasetsExperience with LiDAR, aerial imagery and remote sensingPython and ArcPy automation experienceExposure to AutoCAD, Map 3D or Civil 3D
