Restaurant Manager, Chef & Cook At Piccolo Trattoria, we are looking for a skilled Restaurant Manager, Chef & Cook to work on a full-time basis (38-40 hours per week). Restaurant Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and consistent service.
• Works together with the chef or cook to suggest changes, updates, or improvements to the menu based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients.
• Coordinates staff schedules and assignments to manage busy periods and maintain service quality.
• Supports and guides staff to create a positive, cooperative work environment.
• Monitors overall customer experience, stepping in to address any concerns or issues.
• Handles operational challenges, such as equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or unexpected busy periods.
• Communicates with owners or senior management about café performance, opportunities, and operational needs.
• Maintains a tidy, organised, and welcoming environment for both staff and customers.
• Helps plan small in-house promotions or initiatives to attract and retain customers.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Good time management skills and able to work under pressure.

Position: Full Time Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 Location: 361 Rokeby Rd, Subiaco WA 6008 Chef Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create seasonal menu and other special menus;
• Inventorying food, ingredient, and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders; manage the budget;
• Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet our high standards;
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment;
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure appealing plate presentation;
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures; - Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner;
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
• Hire, train and manage kitchen staff;
• Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.

Skills and experience:

• Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
• at least 1 year of experience in the relevant role
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including the ability to supervise kitchen staff, manage workflow, and maintain high operational standards.
• Ability to maintain food safety standards, stock control, and quality assurance in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Position: Full Time Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 Location: 361 Rokeby Rd, Subiaco WA 6008 Cook Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards
• Support the ordering of food and supplies
• Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately
• Infusing flavours by adding seasonings
• Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner the cooking process
• Prepare meals for special events and additions functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers
