About the Role

You will support families living in public and Aboriginal housing to achieve and maintain safe, sustainable tenancies. Using a strengths-based approach, you will provide practical support aligned with individual case plans, including guidance on tenancy rights and responsibilities, household management, and daily living skills.

You will help clients build community connections, access support services, and strengthen informal support networks. Working closely with the Senior Case Worker, you will identify additional client needs and coordinate referrals to ensure families receive the appropriate support to achieve positive, long-term outcomes.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting families and creating positive outcomes in the community. You will bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Services, Community Services, Community Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working with families, including those experiencing complex needs such as family and domestic violence, substance use and/or mental health challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal families, with a strong commitment to culturally safe practice.
• Experience providing individual support, coaching and/or facilitating groups to help clients achieve their goals.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and client confidentiality.
• A sound understanding of child-safe practice, workplace health and safety, and professional boundaries.
• A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• Previous experience supporting clients with tenancy-related issues will be highly regarded.
