We're seeking passionate and adaptable leaders to join us as Relief General Managers across either Victoria North or Victoria South.

Unlike traditional relief roles, this is a permanent full-time leadership position designed to develop future Care Community General Managers. Working across a variety of care communities, you'll gain exposure to different leadership challenges, teams and operational environments while being supported by experienced Regional GMs, Area Managers and specialist support teams.

Why This Role?

This role offers a unique opportunity to build broad leadership experience while learning what great care community leadership looks like across multiple settings. While travel flexibility is required, most assignments are typically located across metropolitan Melbourne, with occasional regional opportunities as needed.

Many of our Relief General Managers progress into permanent Care Community General Manager roles within 3 to 9 months, depending on individual readiness, performance and available opportunities. Where possible, we aim to align permanent opportunities with a leader's preferred location.

What You'll Do

• Provide General Manager leadership across a variety of care communities
• Lead and inspire clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver exceptional resident outcomes
• Drive performance across care quality, compliance, people and financial outcomes
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families, teams and local communities
• Foster a positive, high-performing culture aligned to Opal's C.A.R.E Values
• Support operational excellence through coaching, leadership and continuous improvement
• Gain exposure to different community sizes, challenges and opportunities

What You'll Bring

• Leadership experience within aged care, healthcare, hospitality, community services or another service-led environment
• A passion for leading people and creating high-performing cultures
• Strong commercial and operational capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Adaptability, resilience and confidence working across different environments
• A visible, hands-on leadership style
• Flexibility and willingness to travel across your designated region
