About the role
At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
Could you be the full-time onsite Lead Buyer in Bellevue we're looking for?
As the Lead Buyer at Alstom, you will lead end-to-end sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance across a multi-project, multi-site portfolio, consolidating demand to leverage scale and deliver QCDT outcomes from bid through ramp-up. You will deploy commodity strategies, lead multi-project negotiations and frame agreements, ensure contract execution, and drive supplier performance and quality while proactively managing supply risk. Governing the supplier panel and compliance requirements, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams and provide functional leadership and best-practice standardization to site/project buyers to achieve savings, TCO improvements, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your strategic procurement and negotiation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative team members. You'll shape the future of procurement strategies by preparing and launching Request for Quotation with suppliers and ensure our projects align with Australian Standards. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Engineering, Quality Control, and Finance), support commodity strategy and panel elaboration, and much more.
