Baringa Private Hospital is a 78 bed licensed hospital, (64 Rehabilitation / Surgical, 12 Mental Health, 2 ICU) providing advanced surgery, interventional coronary angiography including the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, ICU, endovascular & general surgery, general medical, rehabilitation, palliative care and mental health. Our theatre complex offers state of the art operating facilities, including a newly commissioned ophthalmic theatre. Baringa has a day medical unit which caters for patients requiring chemotherapy and day intravenous therapy.

Baringa Private Hospital is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team on a casual basis. In this role, you will undertake all assigned maintenance duties, including work related to general Hospital maintenance including planned and reactive maintenance.

Duties may include patching, plastering and painting, lighting maintenance, gutters, air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing and other general repairs.

You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working alongside preferred supplies, ensuring all work carried out by contractors is within the planned budget.

Skills and Experiences:

To be successful in this role you will

• Be a positive and effective team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trade background is desirable
• You will have the ability to ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to and work is carried out in a tidy safe manner.
• You will be able to provide a comprehensive maintenance service that complies with legislative standards, corporate policy guidelines and approved Hospital budgets.
• Hold relevant trade qualifications or certificates these are not essential but highly advantageous 
• Be able to demonstrate maturity in the workplace to get the job done whilst also focusing on health and safety practices
• Have the ability to work on your own initiative and identify any areas for improvement that may be needed.
• Self-motivated
