About the opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Cook to join our Residential Aged Care home in Parkville. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook meals in accordance with aged care dietary requirements, menu plans, and resident preferences.Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized kitchen environment in line with food safety standards.Ensure special diets (texture-modified, diabetic, allergen-free) are accurately prepared and served.Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.Collaborate with dietitians and facility staff to ensure meal quality and compliance with care plans.Supervise and mentor kitchen assistants or food service staff when required.Participate in stock ordering, rotation, menu planning and waste management.What you'll bring:You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional resident-centred care.
To thrive in this role, you will have:Relevant qualification as a Cook (Minimum requirement, Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery).Prior experience working as a Cook in an Aged Care facility.A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective resident care and management.The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:Police CheckReady to help us shape the future of healthcare?Join us and make a meaningful difference in people's lives - and your career.
