The Organisation

Windamere Park provides recreational, vocational, accommodation and camping experiences for adults living with intellectual disabilities. Windamere Park is situated on a unique 300 acre outdoor setting.

We are a registered NDIS service provider that has extensive experience in both group supports and specialised individual supports. Windamere Park works across a range of NDIS service types including, developmental pathways, supported independent living, overnight stays, camp experiences, capacity building and behaviour support programs.

We are located at Buckland Park and have proudly been operating for 30 years providing amazing experiences to all our participants and staff alike.

The Role: Disability Support Worker

In this instance we are looking for an experienced support worker who has a clear understanding of positive behaviour support and active supports

Windamere Park is seeking an energetic and proactive support worker to support participants living with an intellectual disability and have the ability to enjoy the outdoors with the participants they support.

Availability

Windamere Park is looking for a casual Disability Support Workers who are available to work within our group and individual supports program. If desired there may be possible overnight or weekend work.

Opportunities to transition to permanent positions are available for successful workers.

Successful applicants must have the following attributes:

• The ability to show initiative and actively support participants in all aspects.
• Passion for working outdoors and have experiences to back this up.
• Physical ability to move across the site and maintain focus on the programs being delivered.
• Experience in working with people with complex behaviours within a framework of Positive Behaviour Support

Requirements and desirable traits:

• Qualifications in a field related to disability support.
• Current Certificate in First Aid
• Current NDIS workers clearance
• Medication Administration
• Current Full Australian Driver’s license and have the ability to drive a van to transport participants
• The ability to work in small teams to create great opportunities for our participants
• An understanding of workplace safety, especially in an outdoor environment
• Unique skills in a field of art, music, cooking, sports, outdoor adventure, bushcraft, animal husbandry or horticulture
