Production Operator – Coating

About the role

As a Coating Production Operator in the pharmaceutical industry, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of manufacturing equipment. This is a critical role in supporting the production of high-quality pharmaceuticals products ensuring tablets are coated and finished to a high standard. Essential to success in this role is adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with SOPs, and GMP requirements

• Accurately complete batch documentation to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

• Set up, dismantle, clean, and reassemble machinery and equipment as required for production and changeovers

• Conduct in-process quality checks and report any deviations, defects, or non-conformances promptly

• Maintain strict compliance with GMP, safety, hygiene, and cleanroom requirements at all times

• Work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues

• Undertake any other duties as required to support the team and business operations

About you

• Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, FMCG or regulated production environments (essential)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality (essential)

• Experience in Production Coating within the pharmaceutical industry (highly desirable)

• Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and GMP requirements

• Basic computer skills, including the ability to complete electronic batch records

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Good communication, numeracy, and literacy skills

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks

Remuneration is equivalent to $66,000 to $90,000pa, depending on previous, relevant experience and allocated shift pattern. 5 weeks per year annual leave
