Early Childhood Educator

For this role, the right candidate will be employed under a permanent part time contract working up to 37.5 hours per week. Availability will be at least 4 days per week working on a rotating roster from 6.30am to 6.30pm with a interest in working with children under the age of 3 years old.

The successful educator will…

• Have a passion for working with children under 3 years old and must previous experience working in the ECEC sector. This includes previous experience working in a busy room with multiple team members.

• Hold an ACECQA approved Certificate 3 or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

• Have at least 1+ years experience working within a long day care setting.

• Have a current employee WWCC, Child Protection Training, First Aid and CPR Training.

• Be flexible to work within the hours of 6:30am-6.30pm (limited set shifts).

• Be an experienced and passionate advocate for the early education sector. You will always promote child safety and wellbeing.

• Be able to support the team, children and families in all aspects of the day, including strong communication skills and handover.

• Be capable and confident completing in general tasks such as resetting the environment, supporting transition times, toileting and hygiene practices and meeting children's routines.

• Programming and planning skills, being able to complete observations, set up extension activities, write on curriculums, support modifications and evaluate children's learning.

• Be reliable, dedicated and bring your individual passions! 

• Supply at least 2-3 professional references.
