About the role
Your Energy Answers is looking for an experienced Creative Video Camera Operator / Editor to join our growing media team in Kings Park, Western Sydney.
This is a hands-on production role for someone who can film, edit and tell a strong story. The role is not just about operating a camera or cutting clips together. We need someone who can take technical topics like solar, batteries, EVs, factories, energy bills and the electricity grid, and turn them into videos that are clear, engaging and worth watching.
The successful candidate will work across long-form YouTube videos, social clips, interviews, site visits, product demonstrations, factory tours, event coverage and documentary-style content. You will be involved from shoot planning through to filming, editing, sound, captions, graphics, colour correction and final exports.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 4–5 years of professional video production experience who wants to take ownership of larger projects, improve their craft and help lift the standard of a fast-growing clean-energy media platform.
As our Video Camera Operator / Editor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality video content that explains clean-energy topics in a way normal viewers can understand.
A typical project may involve travelling to a commercial solar site, battery installation, installer warehouse, factory, industry event or customer location. You may need to film interviews, capture strong B-roll, manage sound in difficult environments, work around machinery, film real people who are not used to being on camera, and then turn that footage into a structured and engaging video.
You will need to understand story, pacing, emotion, sound, titles, graphics, visual overlays and audience retention. The right person will be both technically capable and creatively confident.

Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage

We are looking for someone with:
Minimum 4–5 years of professional video production experience
Strong camera operation skills
Strong editing skills
Professional-level Adobe Premiere Pro experience
Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
Experience with Adobe tools such as Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator or Media Encoder
Strong understanding of storytelling and video structure
Strong understanding of sound, music and dialogue mixing
Ability to film interviews with clean audio and good composition
Ability to light interviews in real-world environments
Ability to shoot handheld and run-and-gun footage
Good title, graphic and effects skills
Good colour correction and grading ability
Strong attention to detail
Strong file organisation and project management habits
Current driver’s licence
Ability to work in person from Kings Park, NSW
Willingness to travel across Australia for assignments when required
The right person will be creative, practical, organised and reliable. You should be comfortable working with real people, not actors, and able to solve problems quickly on location.
You should enjoy taking ownership of a project, accept feedback without ego, and care about the details that make a video feel professional. You also need to be comfortable working in real-world environments such as factories, warehouses, trade shows, commercial sites and outdoor locations.
This is an in-person role based in Kings Park, Western Sydney. You must be able to work from the office/studio several days per week and travel to shoots when required.
Please provide:
At least one full video sample you edited
One example of footage you personally filmed
A short explanation of your role in this field in the past
Details of your Adobe editing software experience
Details of any camera, lighting or audio gear you own
Confirmation that you have a current driver’s licence
Confirmation that you can work in person from Kings Park, NSW, at least some days a week
Confirmation that you are willing to travel for shoots when required
