Storeperson (Afternoon Start)

About the role

Join the dynamic team at Galipo Food Co. in the warehouse as a Storeperson. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the company's storage facilities in Dry Creek, South Australia. This role is for our afternoon shift (12:30pm start). As an integral member of the warehousing and distribution team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and the preservation of product quality.

What you'll be doing

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and store products in the dry/cold storage facility

• Inspect incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet quality standards

• Assist with the unloading and loading of delivery trucks

• Stacking products in cold stores with appropriate pallet spacing and labelling 

• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations within the workplace

• Organising stock for despatch times 

• Accurately packing stock 

• Product Picking in a chiller/frozen environment 

• Repetitive Manual Handling

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualification at the level of at least a relevant AQF Certificate II qualification or equivalent; or 1 year of relevant work experience to substitute the qualification

• Forklift licence and demonstrated experience in the safe operation of materialhandling equipment

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment

• Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
