Recruitment Officer – 6 Month Fixed Term

Brilliant Boton Australia is seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to join our team at Bibra Lake on a six-month fixed-term contract.

This role will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of our recruitment function, managing vacancies and candidate pipelines across operational, trade, technical and corporate positions.

Working closely with our HR & Recruitment Advisor and operational managers, you will manage the recruitment process from vacancy through to successful appointment.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced recruiter who is comfortable managing a busy workload, recruiting for niche trade roles, engaging directly with hiring managers and candidates, and keeping recruitment processes moving.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment across a range of operational, trade, technical and corporate vacancies.

• Liaise with hiring managers to understand vacancy requirements, experience requirements and recruitment priorities.

• Prepare and advertise vacancies across SEEK and other appropriate sourcing channels.

• Proactively source candidates for difficult-to-fill and high-priority positions.

• Review applications and conduct initial candidate screening and telephone interviews.

• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.

• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.

• Complete reference checks and coordinate required pre-employment checks.

• Prepare candidate recommendations and progress successful candidates through the internal approval process.

• Maintain accurate recruitment records, vacancy trackers and candidate pipelines.

• Monitor outstanding recruitment actions and follow up with managers and candidates to avoid unnecessary delays.

• Provide regular updates on vacancy status, candidate availability and recruitment progress.

• Support high-volume and project-based recruitment campaigns as required.

• Ensure recruitment activities are completed in accordance with company procedures and relevant employment requirements.

• Provide a clear handover of successful candidates into the contract and onboarding process.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience managing end-to-end recruitment, either internally or within a recruitment agency environment.

• Experience recruiting across trades, mining, resources, construction, maintenance, industrial or similar operational environments will be highly regarded.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously and work to changing priorities.

• Strong candidate screening and interviewing capability.

• Confidence liaising directly with hiring managers at all levels.

• Strong organisation and follow-up skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience using SEEK and other recruitment platforms.

• A practical, proactive approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
