About our Role:
We have a rare opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with oncology expertise to join our innovative team. You will work as an expert clinician in oncology nursing, working in partnership with the medical oncology consultants to manage on-treatment reviews and follow-up appointments. You will also have a key role in contributing to the support and professional development of the oncology and haematology nursing team.
This is a full time 1FTE position.
Essential skills/experience for the role:
You will share our absolute commitment to ensuring patients receive the very best in cancer care treatment. You will also:
Hold a current NZ Nursing Registration with Nurse Practitioner Scope of Practice is essential.
Hold a current Nursing Council of New Zealand Practicing Certificate
Have validated clinical expertise in Adult Oncology nursing with at least four years practice in the specialty
Be knowledgeable about recent cancer care developments in SACT
Have proven expert clinical assessment skills and a high level of professional judgement
Be an acknowledged leader in the specialty with a demonstrated ability to contribute to the professional development of nursing throughout the organisation
Be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence.
