Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

What your day could look like

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you'll play a vital role in delivering timely, safe and person-centred care for people experiencing urgent and complex health needs. From rapid assessment and clinical decision-making to collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues, you'll help create positive outcomes for patients, families and the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Assessing, planning and delivering evidence-based care that supports the best possible patient outcomes.
• Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams to ensure coordinated and responsive care.
• Using sound clinical judgement in fast-changing situations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Supporting a positive team culture through mentoring, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
• Demonstrated emergency nursing capability with strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to safe, high-quality care, continuous improvement and ongoing professional development.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate study relevant to emergency care, emergency nursing education, rural nursing experience, triage training and/or experience coordinating clinical teams.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone passionate about emergency nursing, committed to positive patient outcomes and ready to make a lasting impact in regional healthcare.
