We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Hospital Logistics Officer to join our Procurement and Supply team on a full-time basis!

About the Role

Reporting to the Procurement and Supply Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of hospital-wide logistics services that support safe, high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for the receipt, storage, distribution, replenishment and inventory management of consumables, medical supplies, linen and related hospital stock across wards, theatres and clinical departments.

This hands-on role also manages the movement of clean and soiled linen, supports hospital waste streams, maintains inventory accuracy through scanning and stock control systems, and ensures supplies are available where and when they are needed.

Working collaboratively with clinical teams and support services, you will deliver responsive, reliable and professional logistics services while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, Work Health and Safety requirements and accreditation standards.

This role is physically active and requires regular walking throughout the hospital, manual handling, pushing and pulling supply trolleys, and working across a variety of clinical environments.

Essential Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

-          Previous experience in logistics, stores, warehousing, supply or distribution services.

-          Excellent customer service and communication skills.

-          Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.

-          Experience working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

-          Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.

-          Knowledge of stock rotation and inventory management principles.

-          Ability to safely undertake repetitive manual handling and physical duties throughout the workday.

-          Commitment to workplace safety, quality improvement and continuous learning.

Desirable:

-          Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.

-          Experience working with imprest systems and barcode scanning technology.

-          Knowledge of hospital logistics processes and accreditation requirements.

-          Experience using inventory management or ERP systems.
