About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in South Yarra, VIC. This role is responsible for planning and delivering educational sessions and hands-on training for cardiac sonography students and early-career sonographers.
Key responsibilities
Develop lesson plans and prepare teaching materials
Supervise clinical practice
Provide constructive feedback on scanning technique, image quality, and clinical reporting
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to align training with current protocols, accreditation standards, and research requirements
Support continuous improvement in education processes
Contribute to curriculum updates
Prepare assessments
Mentor learners to build competence and confidence in cardiac imaging
About you
Strong foundational skills in Cardiac Sonography with at least 3 years of clinical experience, including paediatric and adult echocardiography
Experience in stress testing or research imaging is an advantage
Ability to design and adapt lesson planning and training activities for learners at different levels of experience
Excellent communication skills, including clear instruction, constructive feedback, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Relevant qualification in cardiac sonography (e.g., accredited cardiac ultrasound degree or equivalent) and current professional registration or eligibility where applicable
Demonstrated commitment to learner-centered education, clinical quality, and patient safety
Ability to work on-site in South Yarra, VIC, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
