Lawyer (Family Law)

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and client-focused Family Lawyer to join our busy and growing family law practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable lawyer who is confident managing their own matters and is looking to further develop their expertise across a broad range of family law matters, including complex property settlements, parenting disputes, divorce, financial agreements and court proceedings.

The successful applicant will have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ post-admission experience n family law
• Strong knowledge of family law legislation, practice and court procedure
• The ability to manage family law matters independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in property and parenting matters, including negotiated settlements and litigation
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills, including preparing correspondence, affidavits, court documents and settlement proposals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence dealing directly with clients, solicitors, counsel and other professionals
• Strong file management, organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• A professional, practical and client-focused approach
• A current Australian Practising Certificate
• Full Australian working rights

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes ownership of their files, exercises sound professional judgment and is committed to achieving practical and commercially sensible outcomes for clients during what can often be a difficult period in their lives.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
