Our Brand & Strategic Communications team is essential in communicating the impact of our world-class research and managing all internal and external communications for the Institute including media, marketing & branding, social media & websites, and intranet and events.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Content Officer to support our team through the delivery of impactful digital communications that will elevate the Institute’s research, partnerships and community engagement.
In this role, you will be responsible for the creation, management and optimisation of high-quality digital content across social media and owned channels. Grow digital reach, engagement and community connection through strategic and insight-led content. Translate complex research concepts into engaging, audience-appropriate content. Provide regular reporting, insights and recommendations to improve engagement and effectiveness.
Based in our modern offices within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this full-time role will be offered on an ongoing basis.
About You
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (such as communications, marketing, science communications) or have equivalent experience. You will also demonstrate:
Experience in digital content creation and social media management. Proven ability to produce high quality multimedia content. Strong storytelling capability with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and creatively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

We also provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and in the workplace, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
If you meet many, but not all, of the role requirements, we encourage you to apply. We also welcome you to mention any career breaks in your cover letter to help us understand your journey.
