Position Classification: Staff Specialist
Remuneration: $278,355 to $376,068 per annum full-time equivalent depending on experience
Hours Per Week: 8hrs per week

This vacancy is for an initial period of 18 weeks at 8hrs per week; the hours and period of employment may change and there is also the possibility of an extension at same/increased/decreased hours.

About The Role
Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral, Level 5 Base hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW. Lismore is seeking a Specialist in General Medicine to provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist General Medicine services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care. The successful applicant will also provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Physician, and/or specialist international medical pathways or MBA Registration in another Physician specialty with appropriate documented advanced training, and/or experience and recency of practice in General MedicineDemonstrated recent clinical experience in General Medicine at the role delineation of the serviceDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a teamDemonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvementAvailability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time
