Bayside Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grade 3 General Medicine Physiotherapist to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to your community while working in a supportive and innovative organisation.
The Grade 3 General Medicine Physiotherapist is a clinical expert in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in the outpatient setting, demonstrating high levels of specialist knowledge and superior consolidated skills. They will be responsible for the provision, co-ordination and ongoing development of physiotherapy acute care services across the emergency department, short stay unit and the acute care ward at Wonthaggi Hospital and potentially other sites of the Bayside Health Regional Care Group. They will need to understand the current state of service as well as be able to identify gaps and areas for improvement. They will be required to understand and interpret data and engage with the data team to create clear activity reporting for the physiotherapy team across all of their service delivery.

Mandatory Requirements
Essential
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Additional relevant post graduate education/qualifications or progression towards these
Highly developed verbal communication skills to enable effective liaison within an interdisciplinary team
Highly developed written communication skills to ensure accurate case recording and statistics
High level of clinical competence judged by complexity of clients and level of independent practice
Strong theoretical knowledge base relevant to work place
Ability to relate to and treat clients with a wide range of disabilities from a variety of social and ethnic backgrounds
Demonstrated skills in innovation, service development, and evaluation
High level organisational skills
Understanding of health structures
Dynamic and innovative problem-solving skills
Entitlement to work within Australia
A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
Provision of valid Working with Children Check
Provision of an NDIS Worker Screening Check
Up to date Influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
Desirable
Seven years' experience as a physiotherapist
Demonstrated expert knowledge and skills in the provision of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy services within the in and outpatient settings
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage a caseload, including the co-ordination of other staff
Demonstrated ability to undertake quality initiatives
Demonstrated ability to supervise students, Grade 1 and Grade 2 staff
Demonstrated communication skills
Demonstrated time management skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 applications
